Pražská energetika, a.s.

Electricity distribution facilities are all around us. They are essential to ensure the electricity supply, but we often do not notice them. Such a colourfully painted substation, however, does not escape the attention of passers-by. Since 2011, the revitalisation of damaged substations owned by Pražská Energetika has been done in this unconventional form. The company provides these substations as a ‘canvas’ to street artists within their ‘Do It Your Way’ project. Their work has gradually revived more than sixty substations in Prague. A survey reported that 97 % of residents recommend continuing this trend. This particular decorated substation is located on the waterfront in Prague 5 - Smíchov. The photo was taken for the PRE Group's 2017 annual report.
