To accurately evaluate measured values, correctly calibrated measuring apparatus is needed. This accurate 48 Hz audio reference is used to measure sound. Acoustic measurements are performed in anechoic chambers, where the walls, ceiling and sometimes even the floor are designed so that sound is not reflected. "The Experimental Noise and Air-conditioning Laboratory" (abbreviated to EHAKL in Czech) of the Technical university of Ostrava provides not only measurements in these special chambers, but also offers such chambers throughout the Czech Republic.
